Hoya micrantha is an example of a plant that can be saved from root rot by doing nothing except waiting for a really long time for new growth and flowers. I think that I waited close to two years for this plant to start growing and flowering again. I don’t recommend this method to anyone, and I only did it because I was too lazy to restart from cuttings. Here are the buds with a couple of flowers just starting to open:
