Hoya ruthiae Buds Up and Flowers In Nothing But Water

I decided to start my Hoya ruthiae mother plant over as the leaves were looking all bleached out from too much light. I took several decent cuttings and put them in water. Low and behold one month later the cuttings have budded up on old peduncles and they are actually flowering. One cutting even grew a peduncle, and to think that it took me 3 years to flower this plant the first time!
