Actually it flowered for the first time several weeks ago and several times since, but I have not had the time to post about it here until now.  H. lucardenasiana was and is a hard Hoya to grow – it just did not like me at all.  It is a beautiful plant when grown well, but I just can’t do it.  I finally was able to bloom the plant by letting a weed fern spore settle and grow along with it in the same pot.  The weed had a beneficial effect on the plant and I enjoyed the fern much more than the Hoya.  I hope that I have not spoken heresy.  Here is a photo of H. lucardenasiana and the fern grown together:
