As far as leaves go on Hoyas, you would have to really search quite a long time to find nicer leaves than on this plant.  The flowers are also a huge bonus and smell of lemon.  As a reminder Hoya vitellinoides and Hoya meredithii are probably synonymous and the plant hales from Sarawak.  Here are two new photos from this week:

I used to think that Hoya endauensis and Hoya waymaniae had almost identical flowers, but when seen side by side in the photos below there are considerable differences.  The foliage of the plants could not be much more different.

Here is a video of my Hoya halconensis taken about a month ago.  I fear that it has now gotten so large that I will need to start it over again very soon.  I think that I can transplant it possibly one more time.  Once this plant is established, its only fault is that it grows almost too quickly.

I have a thing for Hoya lobbii, I don’t know why, but I just love the plant.  It is one of the few Hoyas that I own in different color variations.  I just barely ordered a cream version of it that I had never seen before.  Here is a photo I snapped today of Hoya lobbii ‘Orange’ basking in the morning sun.

It took  a long time for Hoya sp. Sarawak GPS 10073 to flower for me, but when it finally did, it didn’t want to stop.  Here is a video of the plant I made a few months ago.

Here is the video I made of the first time I flowered Hoya flagellata.  It subsequently flowered two more times, but it was not all good news.  This Hoya fall into the category of plant that will flower just before it dies as a last ditch effort to propagate itself before expiring.  I pulled it out of its pot, and it was nearly rootless.  I am currently trying to re-root it.

For posterity here is my video tribute to Hoya imperialis ‘Mary’s Cottage’ Palawan.  I will no longer grow this rather difficult clone after this summer.
