It happens every year; I put the plants into the greenhouse and it takes at least a month for them to start growing. They are very slow to move from their winter hibernation mode. I would say that I can now see movement in around 70% of the plants. Why do I go to all of the work to move these plants outside, risking insect infestation, sun-scald, and the elements? I do it because when they finally start growing, they grow like crazy and build up huge energy stores that would not be possible inside the house. Hopefully I will get a few first time bloomers out of all the effort, but the energy that is stored up will pay dividends all winter long.
