The wildly fluctuating temperatures at this time of the year brought out a not so great batch of flowers on this Hoya imperialis Palawan. Tomorrow I will show you the strangest flower on the peduncle.
Hoya multiflora and Hoya lockii Together For The First Time
The flowers and care of this plant are so similar that I had always wanted to take a photo of the two of these species together. Well, thanks to Christine from Connecticut and the multiflora seeds she sent me late last fall, I can finally show the two plants together. BTW they both drip nectar like faucets.
New Hoyas From unsolicitedplanttalks.com
April from unsolicitedplanttalks.com was unbelievably generous with me and sent five new plants to play around with over the winter. I will showcase one of those plants every once and awhile First up is Hoya sp. Wavy Leaves a no ID Hoya from Sumatra.
Final Day with Hoya sp. EPC-319: The Mini-wayetii
If you can find this little Hoya, you will absolutely fall in love with the cute little leaves on this one; the butterscotch scented blooms are just a bonus. It is highly recommended!
Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 Is Known At The Mini-wayetii
I thought that was so appropriate when I found out that Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 was known as the mini wayetii because this is exactly what it looks and grows like except I don’t remember Hoya wayetii having such long aerial roots!
Growing Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 Part four
During the summer of 2019 I took at least 2 dozen cuttings from the plant to include as bonuses with people who purchased cuttings from me. Here is what the plant looked like prior to its haircut:
Growing Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 Part Three

Growing Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 Part Two
It took about a year of strong growing for the plant to form its first peduncle and bud up.
Growing Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 Part One
It is appropriate that I was reminded of this plant from a customer of mine who received it as a freebie from me, as that is how I received it. I got it as a free cutting from Ric Morier from an eBay purchase that I made from him back in 2017. It was an easy cutting to root and took off and grew well right from the beginning. It has strong aerial roots as can be seen from the photo below:
Time To Talk About Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04
I have quite a few Hoyas that I have flowered that for one reason or another have not yet made an appearance on this site. Hoya sp. EPC-319 PG-04 is one of those and it was brought to my attention by an eBay customer of mine when she received a cutting of it from me as a freebie.
