Apparently Hoya parasitica is part of the H. acuta complex, and the name is unresolved.  I received the plant around seven years ago as a free cutting in an order from Thailand.  It has been with me ever since and has now flowered on two peduncles just sitting on a south windowsill with no artificial aids. Clearly the flowering response was triggered by increasing day length on this one.
