This time-lapse video is my first and probably last reverse time-lapse. Since I was afraid of shining a light on the peduncle of buds 24/7 to make the movie for fear the buds would drop, I shot 443 photos of the open flowers until they faded and closed up. I then had to take each photo and reverse number them ( #443 becomes #1, #442 becomes #2 etc.), in order to make it appear that the flowers were opening for the first time. It took at least 2,000 mouse clicks to make it all happen. Probably won’t do it again, but here is my little time-lapse of the flowers appearing to open for the first time on Hoya hypolasia:
