It took me some time to figure out the care for this plant. As you all may or may not know, I am a very heavy handed waterer. This plant has to be kept very dry in the winter, which is very much against my tendencies. If you over water this plant, it will let you know in a hurry that you have done something wrong by yellowing leaves, which will soon fall off. It also likes it cooler than most in the winter. In the summer, you can step up the watering a little bit, and it will enjoy the warmth and humidity. It is my understanding that this plant does not want to bloom in the south as it is just too warm for it.
