Fortunately Hurricane Sandy never touched me here at my house, but I did take the day off in anticipation of the storm.  I had a chance to snap a few pictures.  Here is H. elliptica from a few minutes ago.  The blooms are much weaker here in my too hot grow room than in the greenhouse, but it is better than nothing.
