Hoya sp. Maenam IML 1420 comes from Mae Nam, Thailand and comes with a David Liddle accession number. I received this plant as a cutting from Ric Morier in the summer of 2015, and it flowered late in the summer of 2018.
This is a Hoya that grows slowly and has the typical finlaysonii-type flowers that smell of lemon furniture polish and last about three days. The biggest reason to grow this plant is for the gorgeous leaves that unlike the typical finlaysonii-type Hoya, has pubescent leaves, which must be touched to be appreciated. Hoya sp. Maenam IML 1420 would be a worthy addition to any size collection and gets a top recommendation from me!
