Hoya sp. AH-014 comes from the vendor AH Hoyas in Thailand. It is a species Hoya that no one seems to have flowered as of yet, and that is what attracted me to it. It has already developed a peduncle, but this means little, as I have had Hoyas develop peduncles before that have not flowered for years. I believe the main reason to grow this Hoya is for its remarkable golden aerial roots, which are very attractive. These roots can be over 12 inches long on a very young plant of only six months of age.
I will update this page if, or when I flower it, but at this point Hoya sp. AH-014 is a plant that I can highly recommend for its ease of growth and incredible golden cornrow like aerial roots.
**Update**
I flowered this plant in October of 2019, and once it started flowering it did not want to stop! Unfortunately like Hoya kerrii, it drips a dark, amber-colored nectar that can make a tremendous mess when kept inside. The flowers are long lasting and last at least 2 weeks. There is a faint perfumed scent that can best be appreciated at night. If not for the dripping nectar, this is a great easy to grow Hoya!
