Dischidia ruscifolia is a native of the Philippines where it can be found growing attached to trees or clinging to cliff walls. This plant is also known as Million Hearts and is one of my favorite houseplants. What makes this plant extra special is that it is exceptionally easy to grow.
Don’t plant this one in soil, but rather start your cutting in sphagnum moss and leave them there. Let it dry out thoroughly between soakings, give it medium light and warmth and it will reward you with prodigious growth and tons of very tiny flowers no more than 3.5 mm in length.
