Like all of the flowers of the Finlaysonii complex, the blooms of Hoya sp. EPC-964 Water Drop only last about three days.  Here are a couple of photos of the flowers on the way out:

Unlike most Finlaysonii complex flowers, the center of the corona is red making for something a little different.

I received Hoya sp. EPC-964 Water Drop as a free cutting in an order of cuttings from Ric Morier in Florida in 2016.  Not much to say about the plant other than it grew well and flowered in about a year from cutting.

I don’t know much about this Hoya other than I believe it to be some sort of hybrid with parents of unknown origin.  It first flowered for me last year late in the summer of 2017 and has since just flowered for me again. The leaves are very pleasing as can be seen below:

I’m really happy with this Hoya.  I am certain this time that the roots are in relatively good shape and I’m not going to lose the plant as there is a very nice new growth node.  Hoya aff. clemensiorum (IML 1752) is an extremely slow grower only putting out a few new leaves per year, but what leaves they are!  Here are a couple of final photos of the flowers, which is a nice bonus, not the reason one must own the plant.

I took this first photo showing the plant with a tape measure with one of the leaves pushing 10 inches (25 cm.).

I then spun the plant around and found one even longer at about 10.25 inches and it is still growing!

There simply is no more spectacular Hoya leaves than seen in Hoya aff. clemensiorum (IML 1752)!  They actually need to be experienced in person to get the full effect of the Alligator hide leaves.

Hoya aff. clemensiorum (IML 1752) has flowered for first time in four years so we will make the most of it.
