Hoya mindorensis Is One Of The Worst Choices For Northern Gardeners

I love Hoya mindorensis, but it does not love me!  I have struggled with this plant mightily over the years and it is #@!*& aggravating to see how effortlessly tropical growers in Florida and elsewhere flower this plant.  It likes high warmth and humidity, and does not do particularly well under artificial lighting. I will no longer grow this plant as much as I might like to; it is simply no longer worth the effort.  Below can be seen my best effort at flowering the plant some years ago along with Hoya mindorensis ‘Pink’ from this summer.
